My friend and I came for the food and it was amazing! We also got dessert and we were blown away that we had to order seconds. It was the kanafeh with ice cream. Their tea complimented the dessert so well!
It was a wonderful discovery to find this place. Such an welcoming atmosphere, very nice staff and most important such delicious food! I came here with my wife and some friends and we were surprised about the variety of food, desserts and drinks. The staff make great suggestions, explained the dishes and were very pleasant. I highly recommend city kebab! You will not be disappointed.
Amazing meal at City Kebab We got there after noon, wasn't too busy, seated very quickly and the service was 100% so kind, so helpful. The meal was delicious, we ordered the cold appetizer plate (small) and it did not disappoint - each of the six dips were so flavorful, perfectly seasoned: fava beans, beetroot, baba ganoush, tzatziki, hummus, and antipasta - each more delicious than the last (excuse the hunks of dip that we had already eaten by the time I got my camera out). The bread was freshly baked, they gave us three rounds of it it was so good, perfectly seasoned and thick almost like a focaccia. We also got a delicious donor kebab wrap with fries and sigara borek that we scarfed down before we could take a picture of - both delicious! The wrap is perfect and my wife loved the borek! We've found our favorite Mediterranean place in Hartford!
Stopped for lunch and decided to go with the lunch platter. The food was so flavorful and well seasoned. The soup is served with a lemon wedge and the fresh lemon gave just the right splash of citrus. The hibiscus lemonade was not overly sweet. This lunch platter is very similar to the gyro lunch platter except not served in a pita.
I went for the first time the other day and everything was 10/10. Tim is very kind and gives exceptional service I appreciate that. The food was over the top and exceeded my expectations I CLEARED my plates lol. I highly recommend the Adana kebab and chicken combination entree, the laghman soup, and the pumpkin samsa appetizer :). Thank you again Tim and family!
Very sweet and nice staff and great Turkish food! I had low expectations for lahmacun in the US but it tasted just like home and the salad was also amazing! The ayran came in the traditional copper cup which was a wonderful suprise :) thank you so much for the great meal 🫶
This was my second time in two weeks! The food is delicious and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The falafel update is perfection! I recommend the hibiscus lemonade as well - not too sweet. Easy parking in the back (turn on Park and then John) and you can enter through the 207 door right where you park.
This place was an amazing Gem find. I came accross it on an Instagram reel of 5 things to do while in Connecticut. Im not local, just passing through but I had to try it! It did not disappoint!! It was a Monday night , the restaurant was empty but the music created a soft ambience. The star was the waiter, he greeted me with a lot of warmth and enthusiasm. Like an old friend. He was kind, engaging and patient. He guided me through recommendations. I settled on the Mixed Grill. I was enthused after taking a bite of it all. The meat was well seasoned! It was delicious. I received a complimentary cold appetizer from the chef and later a complimentary hibiscus lemonade, which was equally good. The dessert stole the show . It was sooo good! This place is so underrated. Im so happy I stopped by if you're a foodie like me! Don't miss it!
Absolutely delicious! Wonderful hospitality, service and authentic cuisine! Highly recommended as a top restaurant in Hartford and must stop for foodies in Connecticut. This is our 2nd time here and this time we brought company who want to come back already next week. Perfect for a family gathering, business meeting or date night. Beautiful decor, very clean and intimate with also a family/friends/kid friendly vibe. Thank you. 10/10!
I came here with my friend and the food was so fresh especially all the meats. We ordered the mix grill and the chicken mix grill was amazing. Their bread was freshly made and hot. We also got the sigara borek, loved it! This is my third time here and will definitely be coming many more times!
